Traffic diversion

CUDDALORE: 

            Owing to the construction of the railway over-bridge at Pachankuppam on the Cuddalore—Vriddhachalam road, traffic would be diverted as follows:

            Buses and cars should go via Chinna Karaikkadu, on both ways, to take to the National Higway-45A, and, the long distance buses and heavy vehicles should go via Kullanchavadi and Alapakkam. The new arrangements would be in force for the next 18 months — till the work is completed, according to a statement from the Collectorate.

VCK leader lodges police complaint against PMK cadre

CUDDALORE: 

              Chockalingam alias Pugalendi, district deputy secretary of the youth wing of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, has lodged a complaint with the Old Town Police against certain Pattali Makkal Katchi cadre.

            In the complaint filed on Friday, Mr. Pugalendi stated that when he along with Cuddalore Municipal Vice-Chairman Thamaraiselvan and party cadres were going in a car from Cuddalore to Kullanchavadi certain PMK men standing in front of a marriage hall loudly mouthed derogatory comments against them. Mr Pugalendi sought appropriate action against them.
