கடலூர் வெள்ளிக் கடற்கரையில் (சில்வர் பீச்) உடைந்த விளையாட்டு உபகரணங்கள்: சிறுவர்கள் ஏமாற்றம்

          கடலூர் சில்வர் பீச்சில் உடைந்து கிடக்கும் விளையாட்டு உபகரணங்களை சரி செய்ய அதிகாரிகள் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும். 

             கடலூர் நகர மக்கள் பொழுது போக்கும் இடமாக தேவனாம்பட்டினம் சில்வர் பீச்சில் உள்ளது. இங்கு சிறுவர்களுக்காக சறுக்கு மரம், ஊஞ்சல் உட்பட பல்வேறு விதமான விளையாட்டு உபகரணங்கள் உள்ளது. இந்த உபகரணங்கள் அனைத்தும் உடைந்த நிலையில் உள்ளது. தற்போது சுட்டெரிக்கும் கத்திரி வெயிலை சமாளிக்க பொதுமக்கள் சில்வர் பீச்சில் மாலை நேரங்களில் குவிந்த வண்ணம் உள்ளனர். கடலின் அழகை குடும்பத்துடன் கண்டு ரசித்து பொழுதை உற்சாகமாக கழித்துச் செல்கின்றனர். ஆனால் பெற்றோருடன் ஆர்வத்துடன் வரும் குழந்தைகள், விளையாட்டு உபகரணங்கள் உடைந்து கிடப்பதால் ஏமாற்றுத்துடன் வீட்டிற்கு செல்கின்றனர்.
 

          சிறுவர்களின் ஏமாற்றத்தை தவிர்க்கும் வகையில் உடைந்து காணப்படும் விளையாட்டு உபகரணங்களையும், ஹைமாஸ் விளக்கையும் சரி செய்ய வேண்டும். பொதுமக்கள் தாங்கள் கொண்டு வரும் திண்பண்டங்களை சாப்பிட்டு விட்டு, அவைகளை எடுத்து வர பயன்படுத்திய பேப்பர், பிளாஸ்டிக் பைகளை அங்கேயே போட்டு விடுகின்றனர். பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருட்கள் காற்றில் பறந்து ஆங்காங்கே சிதறிக் கிடப்பது பொதுமக்களை முகம் சுளிக்க வைக்கிறது. குப்பைகளை அகற்ற நகராட்சி அதிகாரிகள் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்.

16 sand-laden bullock carts impounded near Cuddalore

The bullock carts stationed on the premises of the Industrial Training Institute in Cuddalore on Thursday.

CUDDALORE: 

     Officials impounded 16 bullock carts for transporting sand without valid permits on Thursday. The carts have been stationed on the premises of the Industrial Training Institute here. Officials said that these carts were involved in illegal quarrying and transporting of sand from the Then Penniyar near Kondur. The cartmen said the persons in charge of the quarry would normally issue permits after loading operation was completed. However, even a long time after the sand was loaded, there was nobody there to issue them permits.

An inquiry is under way.

Section of workers in Neyveli Township lacks amenities: Cuddalore MP K.S. Alagiri

CUDDALORE: 

        K.S. Alagiri, Cuddalore MP, has expressed happiness over the Neyveli Lignite Corporation having earned the coveted Navratna status.

       In a letter to NLC Chairman-cum-Managing Director A.R.Ansari on Thursday, he said that with the elevated status, the corporate social responsibility of the company would get accentuated. Mr. Alagiri said that a section of workforce domiciled in Block Nos. 21 and 30 of Neyveli Township for the past 25 years was lacking certain basic amenities. It was an irony that though they were living in the Neyveli Township, their houses were engulfed in darkness because the NLC was not supplying them electricity.

          The NLC had imposed a heavy financial burden on them by asking them to pay rent for their occupancy with retrospective effect. Mr Alagiri suggested that the NLC calculate the rent for their occupancy from the date of conferment of the Navratna status as it would not only alleviate the sufferings of the working class but also improve industrial relations. NLC sources said the company had made its stand very clear, time and again, that if they comply with the rules and regulations of the public sector undertaking, they would be entitled to occupancy rights and electricity connection.

         A section of the residents there had started paying land lease, fixed on an annual basis, and electricity bill. However, a group of people, who considered themselves above law, were unduly staking their claim to the amenities without any rights. Sources said the NLC management is ready to improve the living standard of the workforce, provided they respect the rules.
