CUDDALORE:
The Federation of the Cuddalore District Parents-Students' Associations has appealed to the State government to arrange for the prominent display of the new fee structure determined by the Justice Raviraja Pandian Committee in schools.
President of the Federation Balki said the schools that had gone in for appeal against the recommendations of the Justice Govindarajan Committee were fighting shy of putting up the new fee structure on their notice boards. Therefore, in a recent meeting held here, the Federation adopted a resolution. It said that in the interest of parents and students, these schools should adopt a transparent fee structure and return the excess amount, if any, already collected from them. The Federation has called upon the Collector and the District Education Officer to take action against the schools that defy the rules. It also decided to stage a demonstration in front of the Educational Department on June 29.
