CUDDALORE:
An amount of Rs 17.02 lakh has been sanctioned by the Narikoravas' Welfare Board to extend financial assistance to the nomadic tribes in Cuddalore district to set up self-help ventures and to meet other family expenditure, according to Collector P.Seetharaman. Giving away the aid amounting to Rs 1,28,500 to 15 Narikoravas at the weekly grievance day session here on Monday, he said the remaining amount would soon be disbursed to 212 members of the community.
