CUDDALORE:
Joint Director (Education) S. Kannappan, designated Monitoring Officer for the Plus Two examinations for Cuddalore and Perambalur districts, has said that two more examination centres have been added this year in Cuddalore district.
Mr. Kannappan told The Hindu that already 61 examination centres were there in Cuddalore district and now the government schools at B.Mutlur near Chidambaram and Dharmanallur near Tholudur too had been designated as two other examination centres. A total of 30,083 candidates, including 14,405 boys and 15,678 girls, would appear for the examinations. In fact, the number of girl students outnumbered the boys in Plus Two.
Mr. Kannappan said that the question papers were kept in seven custodial centres with full police protection. About 1,200 invigilators would be posted in the examination centres, and 10 flying squads would be doing the rounds. Neither the candidates nor the invigilator were allowed to carry the cell phones into the hall.
