2)  In 1988, kamal played the role of a unemployed youth in the movie “சத்யா ”. In 89-90’s our country faced lot of problems due to unemployment.
 
3)  In 1992, his blockbuster movie “தேவர்  மகன் ” got released. Its a village based subject. There will be some scenes portraying communal clashes. Exactly a year later in 1993, there were many communal clashes in southern districts.
 
4)  We all know in 1996 many people in our country was cheated by finance companies. Our Kamal Hasan has clearly depicted this in his movie “மகாநதி ” which got released in 1994 itself.
  
5)  In “ஹேராம் ”(2000), there are some scenes relating to Hindu Muslim clashes . We all know 2 years later, godhra(Gujarat riots) incident happened.
 
6)  He used a word called ‘tsunami’ in his movie “அன்பேசிவம் ”(2003).The word ‘tsunami’    was not known to many people before. In 2004, ‘tsunami’ stuck the east coast of our country and many people lost their lives.

விருத்தாசலத்தில் இடது கையால் பிம்ப எழுத்துகளை எழுதி அசத்தும் 3ம் வகுப்பு மாணவி

விருத்தாசலம் : 

          விருத்தாசலத்தில் மூன்றாம் வகுப்பு மாணவி இடது கையால் (கண்ணாடியில் பார்த்தால் நேராக தெரியும் பிம்ப எழுத்துகள்) சரசரவென எழுதி அசத்தி வருகிறார்.

            அதிகாரிகளின் அலட்சியத்தால் சிதம்பரம் அடுத்த பெரியப்பட்டு பால் குளிரூட்டு மையம் மூடப்பட்டு ஒரு ஆண்டாக செயல்படாமல் உள்ளதால் 30 கிராமங்களில் கால்நடை வைத்திருக்கும் விவசாயிகள் கடுமையாக பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். சிதம்பரம் அடுத்த சுனாமியால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் பொதுமக்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் பெரியப்பட்டு கிராமத்தில் 16 லட்சம் ரூபாய் செலவில் ஜெனரேட்டர் வசதியுடன் பால் குளிரூட்டு மையம் துவங்கப்பட்டது.

             ஆசிய வளர்ச்சி வங்கி நிதியுதவியுடன் சுனாமி அவசரகால உதவித் திட்டத்தில் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு துவங்கப்பட்ட இந்த மையத்தை அய்யனார் சுய உதவிக்குழு பராமரித்தது. பரங்கிப்பேட்டை மற்றும் குறிஞ்சிப்பாடி ஒன்றியங்களைச் சேர்ந்த கொத்தட்டை, அரியகோஷ்டி, தச்சக்காடு, சேந்திரக்கிள்ளை, கருவேப்பம்பாடி, பூண்டியாங்குப்பம், பு.முட்லூர் உட்பட 30க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் இருந்து பால் உற்பத்தியாளர்கள் சங்கம் மூலம் தினமும் சுமார் 3,000 லிட்டர் பால் கொள்முதல் செய்யப்பட்டது. அவ்வாறு கொள்முதல் செய்யப்பட்ட பால் இந்த குளிரூட்டு மையம் மூலம் குளிரூட்டப்பட்டு விழுப்புரம் ஆவின் மையத்திற்கு அனுப்பட்டு வந்தது. இதனால் பரங்கிப்பேட்டை மற்றும் குறிஞ்சிப்பாடி ஒன்றியத்தில் கால்நடை வைத்திருந்த விவசாயிகள் அதிகளவில் பயனடைந்தனர்.

               காலப்போக்கில் அதிகாரிகள் பால் உற்பத்தியாளர்களிடம் பால் தரமில்லை என திருப்பி அனுப்புவது, அரசு நிர்ணயித்த விலையை விட பாதியாக குறைத்தது என பல்வேறு கெடுபிடி மற்றும் ஊழல் காரணமாக பால் உற்பத்தியாளர்களிடம் இருந்து பால் வரத்து குறையத் தொடங்கியது. மேலும் சுனாமியால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் பால் உற்பத்தி சங்கங்களுக்கு அரசு இலவசமாக வழங்கிய கால்நடைகள் மற்றும் பீரோ, டேபிள், சேர், பால் சோதனை கருவி உள்ளிட்டவைகள் எதையும் பெரும்பாலான பால் உற்பத்தியாளர் சங்கங்களுக்கு வழங்கவில்லை.

              இதுபற்றி விழுப்புரம் ஆவின் அதிகாரிகளிடம் புகார் செய்தும் எவ்வித நடவடிக்கையும் எடுக்காததால் பால் வரத்து முற்றிலும் தடைபட்டது. அதிகாரிகளின் அலட்சியம் காரணமாக கடந்த ஒரு ஆண்டாக பால் குளிரூட்டு மையம் செயல்படாமல் பூட்டிக் கிடக்கிறது. இதனால் இப்பகுதி மக்களின் வாழ்வாதாரம் கடுமையாக பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவர்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை மேம்படுத்த உடனடியாக பால் குளிரூட்டு மையத்தை திறக்க அரசு உரிய நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்.

தாலுகா அலுவலக வளாகத்தில் வீணாகும் உயர் ரக மரக்கட்டைகள்

           திட்டக்குடியில் வருவாய்த் துறையினரால் கைப்பற்றப்பட்ட உயர் ரக மரங்கள் அலுவலக வளாகத்தில் மக்கி மண்ணாகி வருகிறது. திட்டக்குடி பகுதிகளில் அனுமதியின்றி வெட்டப்பட்டு கடத்தப்படும் மரங்கள், மணல், கிராவல் ஏற்றிச்செல்லும் வண்டிகளை வருவாய்த் துறையினரால் சோதனை செய்யப்பட்டு அலுவலக வளாத்தில் கொண்டு வந்து நிறுத்துவது வழக்கம். 

               இதில் மணல், கிராவல் ஏற்றி வரும் வாகனங்களுக்கு வழக்கும், அதற்கான அபராதத் தொகையும் விரைவாக முடிக்கப்பட்டு விடுவிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஆனால், கைப்பற்றப்பட்ட தேக்கு, வேம்பு உள்ளிட்ட உயர்ரக மரக்கட்டைகள் குறித்த வழக்குகள் முடிக்கப்படாமல் பல மாதங்களாக மழையில் நனைந்தும், வெயிலில் காய்ந்தும் மக்கி மண்ணாகி வருகிறது. இந்த மரங்களை ஏலம் விட்டால் அரசுக்கும் வருவாய் கிடைக்க வாய்ப்புள்ளது. அதிகாரிகளால் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டு வீணாகிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் மரங்கள், மரத்துண்டுகளை விரைவில் ஏலம் விட நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்.

Apply for duplicate EPICs

CUDDALORE: 

         The voters, whose Elector's Photo Identity Cards are either lost or damaged, could apply for duplicate cards by following the stipulated procedure.

        They would have to submit the filled in Form 001 C along with residential proof, identity proof and a declaration form to the respective Revenue Inspectors (RIs) on February 19 and 20. The duplicate cards could be obtained from the respective RIs on March 5 and 6, according to a statement released by Collector P. Seetharaman.

Transport corporation staff observe fast At Cuddalore

A section of transport corporation employees observing fast in Cuddalore on Tuesday. 

CUDDALORE: 

          A section of transport corporation employees observed fast in front of the transport corporation office here on Tuesday.

        The employees, owing allegiance to Anna Thozhirsanga Peravai, Centre of Trade Unions and Marumalarchi Labour Front, participated in it. G. Bhaskaran, district president of the CITU, said the employees were of the view that the recent wage agreement had not done justice to them. The salary structure of the transport corporation employees was below their counterparts in other government departments. For instance, the drivers with 21 years' experience in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and those in Aavin drew Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 8,000 more than their counterparts with similar experience in the transport corporation.

          Mr. Bhaskaran further said that though the government had claimed to have given a hike ranging from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 7,500 to the transport corporation employees, it was hardly Rs. 2,200 for one lakh of 1.5 lakh employees. The trade unions were also urging the government to reinstate seven employees, who were suspended following the recent strike and to withdraw “false cases foisted on” 18 employees. It also urged the corporation to reinstate the reserve drivers and reserve conductors, who were unceremoniously dropped. Mr Bhaskaran said that the transport corporation was not revealing the exact number of reserve drivers and reserve conductors thus affected.

NLC women's forum bags award

CUDDALORE: 

         The Neyveli Lignite Corporation chapter of the Women in Public Sector (WIPS) has bagged the ‘Best Enterprise Award-2010' in appreciation of its community development initiatives.

        It is for the fourth time that the WIPS has won the laurels. In all, 246 public sector enterprises from all over the country competed for the honour in the 21st national meet of the national forum of Women in Public Sector held recently in Chennai. Of these, the NLC forum has been placed second, according to a statement issued from the NLC. The award has been instituted by the national WIPS, functioning under the aegis of the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE).

           It stated that the award was handed over to the NLC chapter WIPS office-bearers by U.D.Choubey, SCOPE Director-General, in the presence of NLC Director (Planning and Projects) R.Kandasamy. NLC-WIPS president C.Darani Mouli, secretary R.Vanaja and treasurer S.Vijalakshmi also participated. The statement said that the NLC chapter of the WIPS had been consistently striving for the growth of not only members but also of the communities in the region.

          It had been carrying out many welfare schemes for improving the lots of widows, destitute women, differently-abled persons and students of economically backward sections. Recently, the WIPS organised an exclusive “cancer screening camp” for the women employees of the NLC in which about 1,100 employees were screened and necessary medical guidance given. The forum had also been avidly promoting arts and culture, by encouraging the budding artists to stage many a programme, besides taking concrete steps for protection of environment.

Move to demolish temple opposed

CUDDALORE: 

         The proposal of the Panruti Municipality to pull down a place of worship met with strong protest from residents, on Tuesday.

        Police sources said that the civic body had found the temple posing hurdle to widening of a link road at Panruti. Moreover, it would also obstruct the execution of a drainage project. Hence, the municipality had decided to demolish the temple. When excavators were mobilised for the purpose, residents gathered in large numbers urging the authorities to spare the temple. When they refused to budge from the place, municipal commissioner Arunachalam, municipal engineer Sumathi Selvi, DSP Prasannakumar, went to the spot and pacified the people.
