CUDDALORE:
Followers of Ramalinga Adigalar, populalarly known as ‘Vallalar,' have appealed to Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to declare the ‘Thai Poosam' day as a State holiday. In a representation addressed to Mr. Stalin, founder of the Thiruvarut Prakasa Vallalar Samarasa Suththa Sanmarkka Neri Parappu Sangam K. Manivannan said that thousands of followers from various parts of Tamil Nadu used to gather at Vadalur on the occasion. As of now, only the Cuddalore district administration was declaring local holiday on that day.
