Owners of marriage halls should intimate the dates of weddings to polling officials well in advance. If political parties want to make use of the marriage halls, they should get prior permission, according to P. Seetharaman, Collector and District Election Officer. If any political meeting is held in marriage hall, the entire proceedings would be videographed. During such occasions, meat and liquor should not be served under any circumstance to the participants.
