CUDDALORE:
Official teams have been formed at the village, firka and taluk levels to assess crop damage in the recent floods, according to Collector P. Seetharaman.
He told reporters here on Tuesday that at the panchayat level, teams would comprise VAOs and Assistant Agricultural Officers; at the firka level, Revenue Inspectors and Agricultural Officers; and at the taluk level, tahsildars and Joint Director of Agriculture. Mr. Seetharaman inspected the damage at Adur Agaram, Kalgunam and Boothangudi, while District Revenue Officer S.Natarajan assessed the damage at Poolamedu and Thirunaraiyur.
