CUDDALORE:
District Collector P.Seetharaman on Monday issued the health insurance cards to 28 differently-abled persons to enable them to get proper healthcare services in their respective areas. The cards provided for health insurance cover of Rs 67.48 lakh under the Nirmaya programme. The scheme was available to those persons afflicted with cerebral palsy, autism, mental retardation and multiple disabilities.
The Collector also gave away financial aid to the tune of Rs 45 lakh, with a subsidy component of Rs 5 lakh, to 16 youths, to buy vans, cars and autorickshaws to operate them on hire.
