Health hazards of tobacco were highlighted at an exhibition organised by Prajapita Brahmakumaris Iswariya Viswa Vidyalayam at the Manjakuppam grounds here on Tuesday.
The expo, organised to mark “World No-Tobacco Day” observed on May 31 every year, drove home the point that consumption of tobacco in any form was harmful. Quoting a World Health Organisation report, the exhibition stressed that tobacco use, in any form, claimed 5.4 million lives across the globe - in other words, one person died every six seconds.
