CUDDALORE:
A total of 14,232 applications have been received for enrolment in the graduate (12,095) and teacher (2,137) constituencies in Cuddalore district.
The corresponding numbers for the Villupuram district are:
Graduates – 14,060 and Teachers – 2,440.
Both the district form part of the north-central constituency demarcated for the State Legislative Council elections.
The Assembly segment-wise registration in the draft rolls is as follows:
Cuddalore district:
Cuddalore – 2,455 (graduates) and 472 (teachers);
Kurinjipadi – 1,061 and 272;
Panruti – 1,974 and 203;
Vriddhachalam – 1,691 and 256;
Thittakudi – 1,174 and 157;
Chidambaram – 2,817 and 604, and,
Kattumannarkoil – 923 and 173.
Villupuram district:
Villupuram – 3,494 and 626;
Vanur – 508 and 47;
Tindivanam – 2,072 and 416;
Ginjee – 2,375 and 322;
Thirukkoilur – 1,488 and 265;
Ulundurpet – 849 and 129;
Kallakurichi – 2,063 and 415, and,
Sankarapuram – 1,211 and 220.
The Collectors of both the districts, P.Seetharaman and R.Palanisamy respectively, have stated that addition, deletion and correction in the enrolment would be carried out till December 7.
