CUDDALORE:
A pawn shop owner in Panruti is said to be missing, raising concern over the fate of gold jewellery pledged with him.
Police sources said that a large number of people in and around Panruti had pledged their gold ornaments with Sivakumar, who was running the shop for the past six years. However, for quite some time he could not be traced, and, both his shop and house were found locked. More than 100 persons on Sunday laid siege to the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police at Panruti demanding recovery of their jewellery from Sivakaumar. On the direction of the police, at least 75 persons lodged complaints against Sivakumar.
