CUDDALORE:
An “Employment opportunity camp” will be organised under the ‘Mahalir Thittam' at Elumalai Polytechnic College in Villupuram on December 28, according to Collector P. Seetharaman.
In a statement here, he said that men and women who had undergone vocational training imparted under the Mahlair Thittam from 2006-2007 could participate in the regional-level camp.
Candidates from the districts of Cuddalore, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri, who had completed training in various vocational programmes such as office automation, customer care and hospitality, lab technician, welder, electrician, steel fitter, nursing assistant, etc., could also attend the camp.
They should bring along certificates issued by the Mahalir Thittam Officer, two passport size photographs and a self-addressed envelope. Mr. Seetharaman appealed to prospective employers to give the details of the number of candidates they require and the nature of jobs to the Mahalir Thittam Officer.
