CUDDALORE:
The prohibition on deep sea fishing that came into force on April 15 will be effective till May 29, according to P. Seetharaman, Collector. In a statement released here, he noted that during the 45-day period, motorised boats and trawlers are barred from venturing into the sea for fishing. The restrictions had been imposed to protect the marine wealth, because it happened to be the breeding time for fishes.
