CUDDALORE:
Indian Overseas Bank has started the nationwide drive to inculcate savings habit among school students, according to S. Kesavan, senior manager of the Manjakuppam branch of the bank.
As part of this exercise, the bank had spread the message in St. Joseph's school here following which quite a number of students had opened savings bank accounts. At the “Customer's meet” function held on the bank premises on Saturday, Mr Kesavan gave away the passbooks to the students. Mr Kesavan said that the bank had improved its services a great deal through modern technology for the benefit of the customers. Bank managers Vivekanndan, Chitra and Parvathi Sundaresan, and senior staff M. Marudhavanan, participated.
