CUDDALORE:
A job fair will be organised by St Joseph's Arts and Science College, Cuddalore, and the Lions Club of Cuddalore Golden City on the college premises here on Sunday. Cuddalore constituency MLA G. Aiyappan is coordinating with them in the fair arrangements.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr. Aiyappan and M. Arumai Selvam, Head, Computer Science Department, St.Joeph's College, said that at least 11 leading companies in the automotive, mobile phone, computing and manufacturing sector would recruit candidates.
Mr. Arumai Selvam said that the companies were looking for candidates with educational qualifications starting from SSLC to postgraduate level. It was expected that as many as 1,000 appointment orders would be issued by Mr. Aiyappan on behalf of the companies.
Companies that would offer placements are as follows: Hyundai India Motors Ltd., Nokia India Pvt. Ltd., Updater Services Ltd., JKM Auto, Avalon Technologies, TVS Logistics Services Ltd., AE & E Chennai Works Ltd., TMI Networks, Larsen and Toubro, Sodexo and the Serene Groups.
The recruitment drive, meant for men and women, would go on from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the indoor auditorium of the college. Those having ITI certificates, diplomas and degrees such as B.A., B.B.A., B.C.A., B.Sc., B.Com, M.Com, and B.E, could attend the fair.
The aspiring candidates should bring their original certificates, along with two sets of photocopies, four passport size photographs and driving licence (for those opting for driver posts).
