Kurinji College of Engineering and Technology is approved by AICTE - New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Trichy. Located in the town of Manapparai, the college is spread across more than 45 acres of land.
With an active training and placement cell, periodical industry based training is arranged in the campus in collaboration with the leading training institutions like SANDS Instrumentation Pvt. Ltd, CCPL, Trichy Plus, and Sadhana HR solutions. Inplant training and industrial visits are arranged to create awareness among students about the current industrial scenario.
Companies like Infosys Maveric Systems, Satyam Computers Vestra Forms, Wipro Technologies Aspire Systems and TCS Slash Support have visited the campus for recruitments. At a distance of one kilometer from the Chatram bus stand and at walking distance from the Tiruchirappalli Town Railway Station, the location works in its favour. The college offers career-oriented and diverse courses in emerging areas in the fields of basic and applied sciences both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college strives to make the institution a center for research and development and offer courses that will make the student socially responsible and ready for employment.
In terms of infrastructure, the college has well-equipped computer science, microbiology, biochemistry, industrial electronics/physics and biotechnology laboratories. There are separate labs for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The college computer centre with 160 terminals, is open almost round the clock. It has a central library with books in streams like computer science, microbiology, biochemistry, industrial electronics, biotechnology and arts subjects. The library has more than 12,000 volumes of books and many journals and magazines.
The college has been securing impressive results with University ranks in all disciplines every year. Students who belong to Backward, Most Backward, Denotified, SC/ST and Christian converts are getting government scholarships. The College provides bus facilitates between the college and the central bus stand crossing all important bus stops within the city. There are frequent city buses plying between Chatram Bus Stand and Thuvakudi via East Bouliward Road. There is also a separate hostel for Boys and Girls provided by the college.
