CUDDALORE:
The Tamil Nadu Educational Thinkers' Forum has appealed to the State government to permit schools to start Plus-One and Plus-Two classes immediately because there was no dispute over the syllabus for these classes.
In a representation to the government, forum president C.R. Lakshmikanthan said that the syllabus for higher secondary classes remained the same since 1978 and, therefore, it was out of the purview of legal tangle over equitable education system. The forum pointed out that if there was delay in the completion of Plus-Two course, it would affect lakhs of students in pursuing higher education. It would also mar their chances of appearing for national-level entrance examinations.
