CUDDALORE:
N. Kathamuthu (63), priest at the Draupadi Amman temple located in Gothandaramapuram near here, was found dead on the temple premises on Sunday morning.
The body bore severe injuries on the forehead and the back of the head. Deputy Inspector-General of Police Pon. Manickavel and Superintendent of Police Ashwin Kotnis visited the spot and conducted an inquiry. Police sources said that from the manner in which the temple hundi was found to be tampered with, it was presumed that Kathamuthu should have tried to prevent a burglary attempt.
