Cuddalore Collector P.Seetharaman giving away electronic weighing machines to the fair price shops run by self-help groups in Cuddalore on Monday.
CUDDALORE:
Collector P.Seetharaman handed over the electronic weighing machines to four self-help groups who are running the fair price shops in Cuddalore district on Monday.
Alli SHG at M.Podaiyur in Mangalore block;
Aruvi SHG at Perur in Keerapalayam block;
Mother Teresa SHG at Kurinjikkudi—Valasakkadu in Keerapalayam block and
SHG No.6 at Therkkuthittai in Mel Bhuvanavigir block.
The weighing machines costing Rs 6,500 each would help in accurate measurement of the essential commodities to be supplied through the fair price shops. These groups had also been given the measurements for rice and kerosene, from the funds provided by the Mahalir Thittam.
The details of the shops are as follows:
Aruvi SHG at Perur in Keerapalayam block;
Mother Teresa SHG at Kurinjikkudi—Valasakkadu in Keerapalayam block and
SHG No.6 at Therkkuthittai in Mel Bhuvanavigir block.
