CUDDALORE:
Collector P. Seetharaman has said the income ceiling has been lifted for differently abled persons for availing themselves of benefits of government schemes. He said from the current financial year, 2010-11, the economic criterion as a qualifying clause has been deleted. Regardless of the income level, the differently abled can now get educational aid, free artificial limbs, motor-fitted sewing machine, battery-operated scooters, free bus pass and maintenance allowance, he said.
