First year classes for B.E., B. Tech and M.C.A. courses at Krishnasamy College of Engineering and Technology here began on Wednesday.
Chairman of the college K. Rajendran gave an overview of the performance of the college from its inception and facilities available at the institution. R. Anand, chief executive officer, welcomed the freshers and said that bright career prospects awaited them if they fully utilised the opportunities made available to them. K. Kathiersan, professor of Marine Biology, Faculty of Marine Sciences, Annamalai University, K.Ethirajulu, director, and P.Sivagnanam, principal, spoke.
