CUDDALORE:
R.M. Swethakumar of Chidambaram Lions Club has been elected as the vice-chairman of the Lions 324A3 district.
The Lions district comprises a total of 83 Lions Clubs functioning at places such as Chidambaram, Cuddalore, Neyveli, Panruti, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam and Puducherry.
In a statement Mr. Swethakumar stated that these clubs were already involved in conducting health camps, arranging awareness campaigns on blood donation, rendering educational services, and, undertaking relief and rehabilitation works in the disaster-prone areas. He said that these activities would be further intensified so as to render the required help to the target group.
