CUDDALORE:
Under the Kalaignar Housing Scheme, 2,10,914 huts have been identified in Cuddalore district, according to P.Seetharaman, Collector.
In a statement here, the Collector said that of these 1,90,264 huts in 668 villages had been supervised. After due verification the details would be computerised. The Collector further said that the enumerators found certain huts locked. The residents might have either migrated elsewhere or might have gone on vacation. In such cases the residents of those huts ought to approach either the panchayat presidents or the Block Development Officers concerned to register before June 30. Those who had not given the required documents should also do so within the stipulated date. No petitions would be entertained after the deadline, the Collector added.
