Collector P. Seetharaman distributing electrical motorcycles to differently-abled persons in Cuddalore on Monday.

Collector P.Seetharaman gave away three electric scooters to three differently-abled students at the weekly grievance day session held here on Monday.
The Collector said that Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi was keen on providing necessary aid such as the electric scooters and tri-cycles to students and job-goers as they required a great deal of mobility. Accordingly 19 such scooters, each costing Rs 35,000, had been allotted to Cuddalore district (of which three would be given to the employed persons). He said all the electric scooters would be handed over to the beneficiaries within a week.
On the occasion a student, Vinodh from Madhurakali Manikkam in Vriddhachalam block gave a representation to the Collector seeking a tri-cycle for going to school. Within an hour the Collector arranged for a tri-cycle through the Differently-abled Welfare Officer and gave it to the student. During the session the Collector received 330 petitions seeking house site pattas, old age pension, financial assistance for the differently-abled persons and so on.
