Collector P. Seetharaman has warned manufacturers of rubber stamps and seals to be wary of accepting orders, and, instructed the general public to be cautious about deceitful persons vending such articles.
As the information on circulation of fake seals and stamps has come to light, vigil has been mounted to nab fraudulent persons perpetrating such acts, Mr. Seetharaman said in a statement here on Thursday. The manufacturers of rubber stamps and seals should not accept orders without the written consent of the officials concerned. If they do not adhere to the direction, legal action would be taken against them. Similarly, people should neither approach nor encourage any anti-social elements who were purveying false documents carrying duplicate seals and stamps. Such an act would also attract legal action, Mr. Seetharaman said.
