CUDDALORE:
Director of Rural Development Department T. Udhayachandran and Collector P. Seetharaman inspected the construction of Periyar Samathuvapuram at Ramapuram near here on Thursday.
Mr. Udhayachandran directed the officials to ensure the quality of the houses and complete the work before July 31. He supervised the enumeration works under way at K.N. Pettai and Sathankuppam in Thiruvahindrapuram panchayat for identifying beneficiaries under the Kalaignar housing scheme. Mr. Udhayachandran also inspected the works on a causeway and a flood control structure at Vazhisothanaipalayam and the construction of road at Chinnathanakuppam under the Prime Minister's Rural Roads Scheme.
