CUDDALORE:
Health officials have redoubled their efforts to sanitise the surroundings of the residence of Chockalingam, Assistant Personnel Officer of Neyveli Lignite Corporation, at Neyveli Township, who died on Friday of A (H1N1) influenza.
The NLC General Hospital sources said that after his visit to Rajapalyam recently, Chockalingam contracted fever. After receiving treatment at a private hospital for two days, he came to the NLC General Hospital on September 2. On September 3, he tested positive for A (H1N1) flu and was put on Tamiflu. He was later referred to a Chennai hospital where he died.
