CUDDALORE:
Farmers of the tail-end Delta region, comprising Chidambaram and Kattumannarkoil, have demanded immediate release of water from the Mettur dam to save the standing kuruvai crop. At a farmers' grievance day meeting held here on recently, they voiced apprehension over the prospects of samba crop in the absence of water.
