CUDDALORE:

With electricity generation capacity set to increase manifold in the country, there will be ample job opportunities for candidates who study core subjects such as civil, mechanical, and electrical and electronic engineering, said V. Sethuraman, director (power), NLC.

He was speaking at a national-level technical symposium, Flame’s 10, held at Dr. Navalar Nedunchezhiyan College of Engineering, Tholudur, near here, recently. Mr. Sethuraman said that by 2020, there would be good many players on the power front and this would result in keen competition. Therefore, in another decade, the country would witness a situation in which power supply would exceed demand. Already, wind power had been tapped to the utmost level in Tamil Nadu. He called upon the students to imbibe self-confidence to achieve their goals. College Trust member K. Rajaprathapan said that sincerity and devotion to work at hand would bring success. Principal M.
