CUDDALORE:
A free eye camp will be organised by the Neyveli Lignite Corporation-run General Hospital, the Puducherry Aravind Eye Hospital and the Cuddalore District Blindness Control Society at Neyveli on Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A statement from the NLC said that the camp would be held at the NLC General Hospital. People will be screened for vision problems, cataract, squint eye and night blindness. Those identified for corrective surgery would be sent to the Puducherry Aravind Eye Hospital in the evening. Food, accommodation, transport, and medicines would be provided free of cost. Participants would also be informed of the impact of diabetes on eye sight, the statement added.
