As many as 82 LPG cylinders meant for domestic use were seized from commercial establishments in the last few days, according to P. Seetharaman, Collector.
In a statement released here, he said that to streamline the LPG refill supply and prevent any possible misuse of refills, it had been proposed to hold grievance day sessions for LPG consumers on the third or fourth Saturday of every month. The grievances would be heard by either the District Revenue Officer or the District Supply Officer. Besides, delay in refill delivery, diversion of domestic cylinders for other purposes could also be reported to the officials. They, in turn, would take it up with the agents concerned or officials of the petroleum companies such as the Indian Oil Corporation, the Bharat Petroleum and the Hindustan Petroleum as the case may be.
The consumers could also register their complaints by calling 04142—230223 or 9445000209.
